An increasing number of couples , especially from the UK are travelling to Iceland for fertility treatment, including IVF and egg donation. There are regular direct flights to Iceland from London, Manchester and Glasgow.
English is Iceland´s second language and is widely spoken to a high standard. The staff at ART Medica is fluent in English.
It is not necessary to stay in Iceland for the entire IVF treatment cycle as we work closely wiht trusted, affiliated scanning clinics in the UK. Photographic scan results are sent to us within 30 minutes of the scan being performed, after which wee speak to patients regarding the results and changes in drug dosage ( if necessary). Emergency contact numbers are always made available. The stay in Iceland for the couple is generally 3-4 days in which time eggcollection, fertilization and embryo transfer takes place. Alternatively you could stay for the full two weeks and have all the scans with us.
Drugs can either be dispensed in Iceland if you visit us for an initial consultation or can be underwritten by your GP or private doctor. Most drugs ( or their equivalent ) can be obtained on prescription through high street pharmaceutical chains such as Boots. We can also assist with advice on hotels and transportation. Our treatment rates are competitive .
Our overseas clients generally find our clinic quieter and mor personal than clinics in the large international city centers. Iceland is beutiful place to visit anytime of year and is conducive to the relaxed state of mind beneficial to successful IVF treatment.
